Computer Lab

As we all know, that in this techno living, knowledge of computers is must for every person irrespective of age, caste, physical ability etc. Here in our School we try to make the children aware of all current happenings around them. Accordingly we introduced the Computer Education in our School for the deaf children from the year 2003-04. With the knowledge of Computers, they may feel at par with other normal children. Here is a little account of what we are teaching to them about computers, what will derive specially in today’s digital era and how they feel about it.

Home Science Lab

The arrangement has been made to start the Home Science class in the School. The kitchen has been constructed with all the modern facilities. The material has been purchased for the purpose of training.

Cutting and Tailoring lab

Cutting and Tailoring

A separate art and craft section for sewing, embroidery and tailoring was set up in the School to train the student in tailoring and embroidery work. For this purpose the latest machines have been purchased as well as obtained by donations. This Section is being headed by trained and well experienced teacher. It has been contemplated to expand the activities of this section.

Candle making Lab

Candle Making

One Instructor has been appointed in the School for providing training to the deaf children in the candle making work. For this purpose candle moulds have been purchased for making the candles. The students have shown interest in this work. The Students made Diyas and candles for Diwali. They also make fancy and floating candles for decorative purposes.

Beauty Parlor Lab

A Parlor has been set up to provide training in beautician courses. A Beauty Instructor has been appointed in the School. The material has been purchased for the training. This School will help the handicapped children to get employment by developing their skill in special areas of interest.

Drawing and painting

The students of this School participate very enthusiastically in Drawing & Painting competition being held at Chandigarh. Their performance is always found as excellent. A qualified teacher has been appointed to impart the proper training in this line to the hearing impaired in the School so that they can also become competent and to adopt this profession as means of livelihood.
