About School

Vatika special school for children with Hearing and Speech Impairment is a special needs school located in Sector 19-B Chandigarh. The school is a venture of Punjab I.A.S. officer’s Wives Association (PIOWA). This Association is registered body with its own constitution and bylaws. It is a voluntary welfare organization which has a large group of dedicated members who contribute their time and efforts to its activities.

OUR VISION To help identify the level of hearing and speech disabilities at the earliest, so that appropriate teaching methods can be planned. To help parents accept and understand the disability of their wards. To raise public awareness about children with special needs. OUR MISSION To help the students find appropriate employment avenues. To enable the students to become responsible citizens of the country. To create opportunities for the students to express their creativity and talent.

Education has important role in the life of an individual and it cannot be over stated. It shapes individuals for their present and future and inculcates values in them that would govern all their choices in life. Our aim is not only to educate the students but also to equip them to become self reliant and above all create socially responsible and good citizens I wish great success to everyone!!

It is my proud privilege to lead this prestigious school for special (deaf and dumb) students of the city beautiful and its vicinity. We at Vatika Special School, sector 19-B, Chandigarh, help our students to learn written and Indian sign language (ISL), numerical and scientific literacy along with skills for their holistic growth and development. With a spectrum of our dedicated and diligent staff.
